One of my favorite hikes of all time was this one in November 2016 via the Mist Trail in Yosemite National Park. 8 miles and 3000 ft later, you pass Vernal Falls at the midway point and come up just to the left of the waterfall here to make it to the top of Nevada Falls. When I made it to the top, the view was breathtaking but I was really blown away once I took the John Muir Trail back down and exited a tree line and all the sudden the waterfall, Half Dome, and Liberty Cap all came into view and was blown away. I'll never forget that moment!
